class=\"ekit-team-modal-content\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tJaime Santos received the M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering in 1985, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering in 1994, both from the University of Coimbra, Coimbra, Portugal.\n<p>\nHe is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computers Engineering of Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Coimbra.\n<p>\nHis research interests include ultrasounds namely NDT&amp;E and signal processing, ultrasonography images classification, and evaluation and characterization of Li-Ion batteries for Second-Life applications.\n<p>\nHe is a member of the Board of the Non-Destructive Testing Forum (FSEND), since its creation. This Forum was founded in 2008, with the aim of contributing to the development and scientific technical progress in the area of Non-Destructive Testing, which is also a \u201cFull Member\u201d of EFNDT \u2013 European Federation for Non-Destructive Testing and ICNDT - Faia received his degree in Electrical Engineering (1990), his Master of Science in Automation (1994) and a Ph.D in Electronic Materials (2003), all from the University of Coimbra. He is actually an Auxiliary Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computers of the University of Coimbra where is research interests concern the research and development of solid-state chemical sensors, Electrochemical sensor and biosensors, Impedance Spectroscopy technique and applications, such as Electrical Impedance Tomography. He is a member of the Surface Engineering Group of the Center of Mechanical Engineering, Materials and Processes of the University of Coimbra (www.uc.pt\/en\/iii\/research_centers\/CEMMPRE), and until recently member of the Portuguese Materials Society. He has participated in several National and International Projects, scientific networks, and has more than 100 published works (between peer review papers and conferences). He is currently an Assistant Professor in Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in Coimbra University. His research interests are related with ultrasonic non-destructive testing. Actually, he is investigating applications of ultrasonic guided waves in the inspection of plate and plate-like structures and biologic tissue characterization using conventional ultrasonic bulk waves.
